grind18 is designed to keep your working day under your control. This policy explains what the app and this support site do with information.

What the app stores

The app can store the tasks, notes, projects, tags, timers, Signal and Noise assignments, reminders, clock preferences, notification preferences, and local settings that you choose to create. On the local device, this information is stored to provide the product.

Optional connections

Some builds may include optional sync or integration providers. If you enable one, information you select for that connection can be sent to the provider you choose. The provider may require its own account or credentials and its own privacy policy. Review those terms before enabling a connection. grind18 does not use your data for advertising or sell it.

Encryption and security

Where the app offers encrypted sync or export, the data is protected according to the implementation in the version you install. Encryption does not change the privacy practices of a provider you choose. Keep your device, export files, and provider credentials secure.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the operating system may schedule local reminders and motivation or break prompts from the app. You can change notification permission in device settings. The app does not need notification permission to remain usable.

Import and export

When you import or export a backup, you choose the file and destination through the operating system or a provider. Treat exported files as sensitive: anyone who can access the file may be able to read its contents.

This website

This static support site does not ask for an account and does not use advertising cookies, analytics scripts, embedded trackers, or a contact form. If you email support, your email provider processes the message and its metadata.

Retention and deletion

Data stored by the app remains until you delete it, clear the app, remove the exported file, or use an enabled provider's deletion controls. Support email is retained in the support mailbox only as long as needed to handle the request and maintain a reasonable support record.

Children

grind18 is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this site.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the effective date above will change. Questions about privacy can be sent to grind18support@icloud.com.
